Padel Clubs Opening in 2027: The Full US Pipeline
16 tracked projects, 73 confirmed courts, 12 states and the District of Columbia
The 2026 openings are nearly settled. What comes after them is a longer list than most people expect: 16 US padel projects carrying a published 2027 or 2028 target, across 12 states and the District of Columbia. Thirteen have published a court count, and those alone add up to 73 new padel courts.
This is the tracker for all of them — what is genuinely under construction, what is still a founding-member page, and which dates we would not bet on.
The 2027 pipeline at a glance
"Tracked" means one specific thing here: the operator, a permit, or credible local press has put a 2027 or 2028 date on padel courts at a named address. Rumours, franchise maps without sites, and undated "coming soon" pages are excluded.
By that standard:
- 16 clubs across 12 states plus Washington, DC
- 73 padel courts where a count has been published
- 3 clubs with no court count published yet
- 2 private clubs adding padel for members only
The more interesting shift is geographic. 2026's openings clustered in Florida, Texas and the Northeast. The 2027 list reaches places with no padel at all today: Montana, the Treasure Valley in Idaho, Columbus in west Georgia, and Greater Hartford in Connecticut.
The big builds: five courts and up
Six of the 16 are substantial facilities rather than two-court additions.

Swing Racquet + Paddle
The largest padel build anyone in the country has announced: a $125 million, 44-acre campus at Brier Creek with 28 tennis courts, 25 pickleball courts and 15 padel courts. In August 2026 Swing announced a partnership with Roland-Garros to import European red clay, making it the only Roland-Garros Club in the US. Two caveats: the date has moved from 2024 to 2026 to 2028, and Swing's own site plan still labels the padel courts as pending city council approval.
Courts: 15

Social District Houston
A 10-acre mixed-use development under construction in south Houston, with seven indoor and two outdoor padel courts planned alongside soccer fields, pickleball, restaurants and retail. The scale would make it one of the biggest padel venues in Texas on day one. The development is clearly moving, but no date specific to the padel courts has been published — treat 2027 as the earliest plausible, not a commitment.
Courts: 9 | Type: Mixed

PURE Pickleball & Padel
Billed as the world's largest indoor pickleball and padel facility: 40 pickleball courts and 8 padel courts in a 196,726 sq ft complex on the Talking Stick Riverwalk, with Wolfgang Puck and HonorHealth attached as partners. Padel is the smaller half of the concept, but eight indoor courts would still be the most in Arizona by a wide margin.
Courts: 8 | Type: Indoor

Los Angeles Padel Club
Seven outdoor courts and a full clubhouse on the Culver City border, pitched by its founders as a members-led padel and social club rather than a pay-and-play venue. It is a USA Padel Premier Member targeting early 2027. For a metro this size, seven courts in one place is a step change — California padel has grown mostly through small two- and three-court sites.
Courts: 7 | Type: Outdoor
BIVI Padel Virginia Beach
Hampton Roads' first indoor padel facility, going into a former Beach Cinema Alehouse on Laskin Road: seven padel courts plus one pickleball court. The operator, Padel Foundry, publishes an unusually clear timeline — founding outreach late 2026, pre-opening events early 2027, doors open during 2027 — and frames the club around wellness and recovery alongside the courts. It would be the largest padel venue in Virginia.
Courts: 7 | Type: Indoor

Conquer Padel Jacksonville
Five indoor courts in Baymeadows, and the third club in the Conquer Padel network after Tempe and Lehi. Conquer's pitch is the drop-in model — no membership, partner or equipment required — which matters in a city with very little public padel. It is one of several operators here expanding across state lines; we mapped the rest in the multi-club operators of 2026.
Courts: 5 | Type: Indoor
New metros getting their first courts
Four 2027 projects would put padel somewhere it does not currently exist.
One is Padel Connect CT in Bristol, which would be Greater Hartford's first dedicated padel club. Its own site confirms Bristol, Connecticut — worth stating plainly, because searches for "Padel Connect Bristol" mostly return venues in Bristol, England — and a targeted Q1 2027 opening for premium indoor courts built to international specification. It has not published a court count and says it is still finalising the site, so treat the details as provisional.
Washington, DC is the other gap worth watching. It still has zero open padel courts and two queued projects: Capital City Padel Club, three outdoor courts lit for evening play in the Bridge District, due Spring 2027; and East Potomac Racquet Sports at Hains Point, which was due in summer 2026 and has not opened. The District of Columbia page tracks both.

Bozeman Classic Pickleball Club
Montana has no padel court today. That changes with a single court inside Bozeman Classic's new 19,000+ sq ft racquet facility in Gallatin Park, targeted for June 2027 under a 34-foot ceiling. One court is a modest start, but first courts are how every market on this site began.
Courts: 1 | Type: Mixed | Ceiling: 34ft

Boise Padel Club
Four indoor courts in Meridian, next to Storey Park and the Meridian Watertower, targeting January 2027 with founding memberships already open. Idaho is not quite a blank slate — Gozzer Ranch Club has two courts on Lake Coeur d'Alene — but that is a private members-only resort club 400 miles north. Boise Padel Club would be the Treasure Valley's first, and the first in the state anyone can book.
Courts: 4 | Type: Indoor

Columbus Padel Club
Every open padel court in Georgia today sits in metro Atlanta. This downtown site at 1939 3rd Ave breaks that pattern — Columbus, Georgia, on the Alabama line, not Columbus, Ohio. First serve is set for Fall 2027, and the model is unusual: premium self-serve courts open 24 hours, with a clubhouse promised only once the courts fill. Founding membership is $1,000 once, for life.
Courts: Not yet published | Type: Outdoor
Private clubs adding padel in 2027
Two of the 16 will never sell a public court hour. They matter anyway: country clubs adding padel is a reliable leading indicator for a region.

Knickerbocker Country Club
A Bergen County club founded in 1914, adding two outdoor padel courts in 2027 beside its four Har-Tru tennis courts and four platform tennis courts. Platform tennis clubs adding padel is one of the clearest patterns in Northeast padel, and New Jersey has a dense concentration of exactly that kind of club. Note this is the Tenafly club at knickerbocker.cc — not the similarly named New York club.
Courts: 2 | Type: Outdoor

Horseshoe Bay Resort
The Lake LBJ resort has broken ground on a $10 million racquet expansion: four dedicated glass-and-mesh padel courts and a 6,690 sq ft Racquet Sports Clubhouse, reported by local press in September 2026 with a summer 2027 target. The resort already runs a Mouratoglou Tennis Center with 12 tennis and 14 pickleball courts. One caution: the padel plan appears in press coverage and state licensing filings, but not yet on the resort's own site, and access terms for padel are unpublished.

Why 2027 dates slip — and how to read them
Treat every date here as a target, not a promise. The pattern is consistent enough to predict.
Swing Racquet + Paddle has been "opening" since a 2024 projection, then 2026, now 2028. The Pickleball Club of Georgia in West Midtown Atlanta was reported as a late-2025 opening; its site now says only "coming soon" with no year, though it does confirm four glass-walled padel courts beside 27 indoor pickleball courts. Proximo Padel Northbrook is listed as coming soon by Proximo alongside a Goose Island site, with neither a count nor a date. Two more are already overdue: East Potomac was a summer 2026 target and Epic Padel Tysons a spring 2026 target.
A practical way to read these: a published month, plus a street address, plus visible construction is worth believing. A year with no month, or a founding-member page with no confirmed site, usually means the first serve lands six to twelve months late. We went through the full 2026 record in padel club opening delays.
One correction to a common assumption: Epic Athletic Club in Midlothian, planning four outdoor courts by Q1 2027, is often described as bringing padel to Richmond. Richmond already has padel — Padel Plant, five courts with 35-foot ceilings in a converted 124-year-old power plant. Epic would be the metro's second club and its first in the southwestern suburbs.

What to do with this list now
If one of these is your local club, the founding-member window is the only thing here you can act on today. Several — Boise, Columbus, Padel Connect, BIVI — are taking deposits or waitlist signups, and that pricing is usually the best a club ever offers. The trade-off is plain: you pay before a court exists, at a club whose date may move.
If you want to play sooner, the nearer-term lists are more useful: padel clubs opening before 2027 is the Q4 2026 watchlist, the full 2026 tracker covers what opened this year, and the biggest padel clubs in the US lists every venue already standing with eight courts or more.
We update this pipeline as dates firm up or slip. Every club above has a detail page on Padel Browser carrying its current status, court count and booking details.
