Padel Clubs Opening Before 2027: The Q4 2026 Watchlist
Fourteen clubs, at least 63 courts, and an honest accounting of the dates that have already moved
Fourteen clubs in the Padel Browser directory still carry an opening date before the end of 2026. Together they account for at least 63 padel courts.
That number deserves an asterisk, and this post is mostly about the asterisk. In April we published a tracker of every US padel facility due in 2026. Most of those clubs did open. Several did not, and a few moved their dates twice. With one quarter left: what is genuinely still coming, what has already slipped, and how to tell the difference before you drive across town to find a construction site.
What's Left on the 2026 Calendar
Eleven states are involved, and "at least" is doing real work: Proximo Padel Goose Island in Chicago and WynPadel at The Westin Rancho Mirage have both confirmed padel without publishing a court count, so the true total is higher.
Of the 63, 53 are backed by a club website, a news report or a permit filing. The other 10 come from a single entry we could not verify at all — see December.
October
Four clubs carry an October date, two of them from the same operator. Ace Padel Coconut Grove (5 courts, 3793 Grand Ave in Miami) and Ace Padel Denver (7 courts, 1812 35th St in Denver) now land in the same month — less a planned rollout than the Miami site drifting back into Denver's window (our preview).
The Arena Club brings 2 indoor courts to Chattanooga, which would make it Tennessee's fourth padel venue. One note if you check on it directly: the club's TLS certificate is misconfigured server-side, so your browser may refuse to load thearenaclubtn.com. That is a hosting problem, not a signal about the project.
Cincinnati Sports Club adds 2 outdoor courts at its Red Bank Road campus — a real addition in Ohio, where the padel count is still in single digits.
November
Boca Paddle by CityPickle has the firmest date on this list: November 18, at 50 W Jeffery St in Boca Raton. Six courts, and notable as the first padel project from CityPickle, a company that built its name entirely on pickleball.
Three Rackets in Broomfield is the clearest example of why this post exists. When we wrote about it in September, the club was advertising a September 21 soft opening; its website now reads "opening THIS November." Five indoor padel courts under 32-foot ceilings, in a 34,000-square-foot club that also houses squash and pickleball (full detail).
pATL Mt. Pleasant brings 7 courts to the Charleston suburbs, the operator's second South Carolina site (our Charleston piece). And The Club at Marlboro adds 2 indoor courts in Morganville, with a CourtReserve booking page already configured (more).
December
Padel Haus Dallas is the December anchor: 6 courts at 1500 Dragon St in the Dallas Design District, the Brooklyn operator's first Texas site, and one of four clubs in our DFW pipeline roundup.
Proximo Padel is targeting December for its Goose Island location, with a Northbrook site behind it in 2027. No court count published for either yet.
Then there is The Padel Company in Socorro, listed at 10 courts for December — flagged rather than promoted. It has no website, and we found no news coverage, permit record or operator footprint online. At 10 courts it would be one of the largest padel builds in Texas outside the big metros, which makes the absence of a public trail hard to square. Treat the figure as unconfirmed: it stays in the directory because the address is specific enough to track, not because we can vouch for it.
The Soft Dates
Three clubs have committed to a season rather than a month. Cascadia Padel says "Fall 2026" for 5 indoor courts in Kirkland, which would take Washington from one open club to two (background). WynPadel is also on "Fall" for its resort courts in Rancho Mirage (details). King of Padel – West Harbor says "Late 2026" for 6 waterfront courts in San Pedro (preview).
A season instead of a month usually means the operator is waiting on something — an inspection, a glass shipment, a certificate of occupancy. Not a bad sign. Just not a date.
What Already Slipped
Seven clubs have published opening dates that have now passed, and all seven are still pre-opening. Listing them is not a criticism — it is the most useful thing we can tell you.
- New Orleans Padel Club — 4 courts, target July 2026. That date is stale rather than imminent; do not read it as "any day now." (Our coverage.)
- The Club at Midtown — 3 courts, September 2026, Wilmington. (Coverage.)
- Mouratoglou Tennis Center — 6 courts, September 2026, Noblesville. The site shows a "BOOK NOW" link, but it is waitlist-gated with no booking engine behind it. It is 6 courts, not the 8 some listings claim.
- Padel Society — 6 courts, September 2026, Austin.
- PDL Sports & Social Club — 10 courts in San Antonio. Broke ground December 2025 targeting summer 2026; the state licensing filing estimated completion in early September.
- 10by20 Padel Wellington — 7 courts, "Early 2026." (Coverage.)
- Open Play Pickleball & Padel — 8 courts, Q1 2026, Hopkinton. Its homepage now leads with "FOUNDING MEMBERSHIPS NOW OPEN," which refers to the membership sale, not the facility. (Coverage.)
None of this is unusual. Court glass and turf are largely imported, lead times run months, and one failed inspection can cost a quarter — our cost-to-build breakdown covers why these timelines are what they are. A missed date is a delay, not a cancellation.
Where the Courts Are Landing
Florida and Texas take the largest share again, consistent with our 2026 state-of-the-sport review. But the Q4 story is second-tier markets getting their first real capacity: Colorado picks up 12 courts in a single quarter, and Ohio, Tennessee and New Jersey each move from near-zero to a functioning local scene. The metro pipelines run deeper than this quarter suggests — see Orlando, Miami and DFW.
How to Check Before You Drive
One rule: look for a live booking link, not an announcement.
Pre-opening clubs routinely ship a complete website with a "BOOK NOW" item in the navigation and no booking engine behind it — Mouratoglou Noblesville is the textbook case. "Founding memberships now open" and "early access" are both selling you something that is not yet a court reservation.
The reliable test is whether you can reach a real calendar with real time slots. Every club above has a page in our club directory, and where a club has a working booking integration we show its availability. If you can see slots, it is open. If the best on offer is a waitlist form, give it another month.

College Padel Clubs Land at Northeastern, Michigan & Utah
Student padel clubs have landed at Northeastern, the University of Michigan and the University of Utah, taking our collegiate listings to 11 schools. None of the three owns a court — they book time at commercial clubs nearby, and Michigan runs an organised driver network to cover the 50 miles to Zmash Padel. Here is where each one plays, and why student clubs keep appearing in states with barely any courts.
