The Arena Club is a 75,000-square-foot social and athletic club taking shape on Chattanooga's Southside, in the Chestnut Street building that housed Chattanooga Brewing Co. until 2024. When it opens in October 2026 it will bring padel to Chattanooga for the first time, with two climate-controlled indoor courts alongside 12 pickleball courts.
Owner John Wise has pitched the club as a deliberate combination rather than a single-sport facility. "There's plenty of fitness clubs, and there's plenty of pickleball clubs and there's dining clubs, but there's not many that do it all," he told the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Beyond the courts, members get strength and cardio equipment, roughly 55 fitness classes a week including Pilates, barre and yoga, on-site physical therapy, a golf simulator, locker rooms with sauna and steam, a pro shop, child care, a bar-side social pool with lounge seating, and a full food and beverage program.
Membership is capped at 800, with individual, partner and family tiers plus rates for members 65 and over, first responders, and players under 35. Roughly half of those memberships had sold by late August 2026.
For padel players in Southeast Tennessee this is the closest thing to a home court, with the nearest alternatives being Nashville's clubs about two hours west or Vitesse Padel in Gray to the northeast.
