The Club at Marlboro: NJ Padel Opening November 2026
Monmouth County's second padel venue opens on Texas Road with two regulation courts, nine pickleball courts and a recovery lounge.
Padel Is Coming to Marlboro This November
Monmouth County is about to get its second padel venue. The Club at Marlboro — the second location from family-owned operator The Club NJ — opens in November 2026 at 414 Texas Road in Morganville, bringing two regulation-size padel courts to the Route 9 corridor.
The location matters more than the court count suggests. Until now, anyone in western Monmouth County who wanted to play padel drove to the shore: Nicol NJ in Oceanport has been the county's only padel address. Marlboro puts glass-walled courts within a short drive of Freehold, Manalapan, Holmdel and Old Bridge.
What's Being Built
The Marlboro facility is a 25,000-square-foot, fully air-conditioned building. Per the operator's own breakdown of the space:
- 2 regulation-size padel courts
- 9 indoor pickleball courts
- 3 Trackman iO golf simulators
- A recovery lounge with red light therapy, cryotherapy, Normatec compression therapy and an infrared sauna
- A gym, showers, and social space — the project announcement specified a 3,600 sq ft viewing mezzanine above the courts plus a 4,000 sq ft social area with bar tops and soft seating
- Free on-site parking, climate control, and year-round access
One detail is worth flagging. When the project was first announced, Marlboro was pitched as a stand-alone pickleball building with 10 courts for pickleball and badminton — padel was not in that plan. The current layout trades a pickleball court for two padel courts, a small but telling sign of how fast padel demand is catching up to pickleball inside multi-sport clubs. It is the same conversion math running through new padel courts opening across the US in 2026 and how operators actually open a padel club.

The Club at Marlboro
Texas Road is an unglamorous suburban stretch, which is exactly why this works: the building sits inside one of Monmouth County's densest residential belts rather than at the end of a shore commute. Expect the player mix Monroe already draws — pickleball regulars trying padel for the first time, families in junior programs, a weekday-evening league crowd. With only two courts, court time will be the scarce resource.

The Club NJ's Second Location
Erica and Mike Rosenberg opened The Club at Monroe in 2023 as a stand-alone indoor pickleball club, then expanded it roughly a year later to add padel, golf simulators and pilates. Marlboro is personal for them: the Rosenbergs have lived in the township for more than 15 years, and both their children attend Marlboro High School.
"We weren't actively looking to expand just two years after starting The Club at Monroe, and only one year after expanding there to include padel, golf simulators, and pilates classes," Mike Rosenberg said in the project announcement. "But when the opportunity came up to build something special in our hometown — where we've lived and raised our kids for over 15 years — we couldn't pass it up."
Monroe is the template. It runs three regulation padel courts alongside ten pickleball courts, three Trackman simulators and a putting green, with complimentary SaveMyPlay court recording on every court. Marlboro inherits the same coaching bench: Director of Racquets Igor Silva is a certified padel coach through PadelMBA and the USPTA, on top of PPR and DUPR credentials.

The Club at Monroe
If you want to know what Marlboro will feel like, play Monroe first. The padel courts share a roof with ten pickleball courts, which means a steady supply of curious crossover players and genuinely beginner-friendly open play. The 4.9 Google rating is no accident — the instructors are what regulars talk about.

Where Marlboro Sits on New Jersey's Padel Map
New Jersey tracks nine padel clubs, and they cluster hard in the north — Cresskill, Oakland, Morristown, Maywood and Mountain Lakes all sit within commuting distance of the George Washington Bridge, anchored by Centercourt Morristown and its six courts.
Central and shore New Jersey has been thin by comparison: Monroe Township in Middlesex County, and Nicol NJ out in Oceanport. Marlboro closes the obvious gap between them. For the wider picture, see our 2026 update on padel's growth in the Northeast and padel courts on Long Island.
What to Expect at Opening
Pricing is already published and applies at both locations. Non-members pay $30 per hour per player; padel members pay $20. The padel membership is $400 per year, valid at Monroe and Marlboro, and bundles member rates on pickleball, a free weekly hour on the Trackman simulators, 20% off wellness services, and use of the open gym at Marlboro. Students 22 and under get a free membership with a valid student ID. Memberships are one-year, auto-renewing, and billed through CourtReserve, which is also where court bookings run.
You do not need a membership to play. Non-members can rent courts and join programs at non-member rates — a meaningful distinction in New Jersey, where several padel courts sit behind private club gates.
Programming mirrors Monroe: skill-matched Open Play in two-hour sessions with a certified padel pro on court, plus clinics, leagues, and private, semi-private and small-group lessons. Beginners get a 60-minute "Padel 101" on rules, stroke mechanics, court positioning and how to use the walls safely. Paddles and balls rent at the front desk, so a first visit needs no gear. If you are crossing over from the pickleball side of the building — as many Marlboro members will be — start with what actually separates padel from pickleball. The walls change everything.
The Club is taking pre-registrations now for construction updates and founding memberships. We will add court availability to the club's page once booking opens.
