Wynwood Arena Padel in Miami: Five Courts, Open to 1 AM

Five courts on the Wynwood–Allapattah edge, three of them roofed, bookable until 1 AM — and not the same club as Wynwood Padel Club.

Miami is not short of padel. Fifteen clubs are open inside the city limits, and between them they run about 95 courts. What the city has much less of is a court you can still be playing on at midnight.

Wynwood Arena is one of the few. Five glass-walled courts, three of them roofed, open every day of the week from 7 AM to 1 AM, with a bar and kitchen in the middle and three soccer fields next door.

This is not a grand opening — the wider complex has been running since the spring — but it is the newest padel venue in our Miami listings, and the one readers most reliably confuse with a different club a mile down the road.

Wynwood Arena

1089 NW 20th St, Miami, FL 33127(305) 780-3198

The club brands itself Arena SSC Wynwood — SSC for Sports & Social Culture — and that second half is doing real work. The padel courts share a block with three six-a-side soccer fields, a bar and kitchen called SOCIAL, locker rooms with showers, an arcade, and a pair of oversized LED screens that turn the place into a watch party on big-game nights. It sits on the Wynwood–Allapattah edge, about a mile west of Wynwood Walls, a six-minute walk from the Santa Clara Metrorail stop and roughly eight minutes' drive from Brickell.

Padel is run by head coach Ángel Espadas, who the club says also coaches on the USA Padel national team staff. The club counts about 1,700 players and runs an open WhatsApp group for matchmaking — which matters more than it sounds if you are new in town without a four.

It is not Wynwood Padel Club

The names are close enough to cost you a drive.

Wynwood Padel Club is a separate, older business: eight outdoor courts at 1932 NW Miami Ct, in the arts district proper, booking through PlayByPoint, with a cafe and a wellness studio on site. We cover it in our Wynwood and Midtown guide.

Wynwood Arena is a mile away at 1089 NW 20th St. Five courts rather than eight, three of them covered rather than none, and booking through Playtomic rather than PlayByPoint. Two different clubs, two different apps, both with Wynwood in the name.

One more wrinkle: the venue's own branding is Arena SSC Wynwood, so that is the name to search in the Playtomic app — even though its website is wynwood-arena.com and we list it as Wynwood Arena.

Covered and open-air in the same place

Courts 3 to 5 are roofed and open-sided. Courts 1 and 2 are fully open-air. In most of the country that distinction is about rain. In Miami it is also about the sun and the clock.

A covered court makes a 1 PM booking in August survivable, and means an afternoon thunderstorm does not end your game. An open-air court is the better place to be at 9 PM in January, and it is consistently cheaper — by $20 to $50 a court. Clubs with both let you pick; clubs with one or the other pick for you. Only five of Miami's fifteen open clubs have any covered or indoor padel at all. If midday heat is the problem you are solving, our hot-weather guide is the longer answer.

What it costs

Every booking is 90 minutes for up to four players, through Playtomic. As of the club's late-September price update:

  • Weekdays, 7 AM–5:30 PM and 10 PM–1 AM — $60 open-air, $120 covered
  • Weekday prime, 5:30–10 PM — $112 open-air, $140 covered
  • Weekends, 7 AM–1 PM — $100 open-air, $130 covered
  • Weekends, 1 PM–1 AM — $80 open-air, $100 covered

Split four ways, that is $15 to $35 a player. Racket rental is $10 and the pro shop stocks balls and grips — though if you are past the borrowing stage, Racket Central carries the deepest racket range in the US. Rates move, so check the club's Playtomic page before you count on a number.

Beyond a straight court booking: morning clinics capped at four players from $45, an adult beginners' class Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 PM for $55 with rackets included, a kids' academy for ages 5 to 14 from $100 a month, and weekend socials at $30 a player — 90 minutes of rotating doubles for up to 20 people, Saturdays pitched at 2.0–3.5 and Sundays at 3.0–4.5. Sign up solo and the club pairs you. The socials sell out. None of it requires a membership.

Where it fits in Miami's court supply

Five courts is small against Miami's big outdoor builds. The number is not the point here; the hours and the format are.

Covered padel in the city sits in a short list of places: Ultra Padel Club with 29 courts, The Gables Padel with eight indoors, i95 Padel Club Miami with six, Eko Padel and Pickle with three, and this one. Five clubs out of fifteen. Add a 1 AM close every night, free parking for about 50 cars, a Metrorail stop six minutes' walk away and somewhere to sit afterwards, and Wynwood Arena covers a slot — late, covered, central, walk-up — that most of Florida still does not.
