Four courts on Pleasant Hill Road put Gwinnett County on Georgia's padel map
Padel in Georgia has been an Atlanta story from the start. Six courts at Padel Haus Atlanta on the Westside, four at PATL in Chamblee, a single private court at the Piedmont Driving Club — everything clustered inside the perimeter or a short drive beyond it.
Spark Padel Club breaks the pattern. It is open on Pleasant Hill Road in Lilburn with four courts, and it is the first padel venue in our directory anywhere in Gwinnett County.
Spark Padel Club opens in Lilburn
The club sits in Plaza Las Americas, a shopping center on Pleasant Hill Road roughly 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The City of Lilburn's construction register lists the project — filed as "Smash Padel @ Plaza Las Americas" — with its permit issued, the work completed and the venue "currently in business." For a club this new, a municipal record is a far better signal than a directory listing.
One thing to know before you go looking for it: the club answers to two names. Its website, online store and booking portal are branded Spark Padel Club, while its Instagram handle, its booking subdomain and Lilburn's permit record all still read Smash Padel Club — and the copy on its own homepage uses both. Same venue, same address, mid-rebrand.

Four courts, split three covered and one outdoor — a sensible hedge in a climate that serves up both August humidity and sideways spring rain. The covered courts keep the calendar intact year-round; the outdoor court is the one you want in October.
A pro shop runs alongside the courts, stocking Bullpadel, NOX and adidas rackets roughly in the $110–$360 range, so a first-timer can turn up empty-handed. (If you would rather shop before you play, Racket Central carries the same brands.)
The programming leans social rather than academy-style. Weekly Americanos are split by level, and the club has already run an in-house tournament — the Founders Cup — which for a venue this young suggests the membership base is real rather than aspirational. Event pages appear in both English and Spanish, fitting for a club that set up shop in a plaza built around Gwinnett's Latin American community.

Gwinnett County — Atlanta's padel spillover
Gwinnett is Georgia's second-most populous county, home to close to a million people, and until Spark opened our directory had no padel courts anywhere inside it. Players in Lawrenceville, Duluth, Snellville and Norcross were driving into DeKalb or Fulton for a court.
The nearest alternative is still a good one: Padel Highway in Tucker, four outdoor courts about fifteen minutes southwest down Lawrenceville Highway — but Tucker is DeKalb County. North of Spark, Racket Social Club at Windward Lake in Alpharetta means a half-hour across the top of the metro. Neither is a bad trip; neither is a Tuesday-evening trip after work.
That is the shape of padel's second wave in most US metros. The first clubs land in the dense, expensive core, the next ones follow the players home to the suburbs, and a strip-mall unit with four courts starts making a lot more sense than a converted warehouse downtown.
Booking, pricing and getting on court
Courts are booked through PlayByPoint. Americanos run on a weekly rotation — advanced on Mondays, intermediate on Wednesdays, beginner on Thursdays — which is the fastest way into a new club if you are arriving without a fourth.
There are two membership tiers. The Founders Membership is capped at 40 people and listed at $120 a month: 30% off court bookings, a 10-day booking window, one free Americano a month, 20% off clinics and equipment, two guest passes and a 12-hour cancellation policy. The open-capacity tier trades some of that away — a 5-day window, 20% off courts, Americanos at $28, one guest pass, 24-hour cancellation. Both tiers currently show the same $120 headline price on the club's site, which is worth confirming on the booking portal before you sign anything.

The club has not published a phone number yet — its site still carries placeholder contact details from its website template — so the booking portal, the contact form and Instagram are the working routes in.
Georgia's padel map in 2026
Georgia now has nine padel clubs in our directory, seven of them open and playing:

Two more are in the pipeline. The Pickleball Club of Georgia in Atlanta is planning five padel courts, though its opening has slipped past the original early-2026 target. Columbus Padel Club — Columbus, Georgia, not Ohio — is aiming at Fall 2027.
