Smash Padel Courts is a proposed 7-court padel facility coming to Doral, Florida through an interior conversion of an existing 36,612 sq ft warehouse. The project was submitted by Blas Sanchez, a Miami-based padel club operator, with a City of Doral special exception use permit application heard April 16, 2025.

The Plan

• 7 padel courts
• >5,000 sq ft dedicated to play within a 36,612 sq ft warehouse
• Two-acre site on NW 58th Street
• Interior-only renovation — façade, landscape, parking, and fencing all staying as-is
• Existing infrastructure (lighting, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinklers) retained
• New entrance door and modern HVAC system
• Land use change from industrial to assembly required for approval

The Doral Padel Context

Doral has emerged as one of Miami-Dade's most padel-active areas, already home to Smart Padel House (8440 NW 64th St), Urban Padel (11601 NW 107th St), Champions Padel Club (1360 NW 88th Ave), and several others. Smash Padel Courts will add to this growing cluster by converting another warehouse-format building into dedicated play — part of the broader South Florida pattern of repurposing industrial space for padel.
