Tropical Park Tennis Center brings padel to a beloved community park that's been serving Miami families for decades. With Cañas Racket—one of South Florida's most established racket sports academies—managing the facility, players get professional-quality instruction alongside the welcoming atmosphere of a public park.
The Courts
The facility features 3 outdoor padel courts alongside 10 lighted tennis courts, 4 racquetball courts, and an expanding pickleball complex. The outdoor setting offers year-round play under the Miami sun, with lighted courts extending play into the evening hours.
Programs & Coaching
Cañas Racket runs comprehensive programs at Tropical Park, including padel clinics for various skill levels. Their Intermediate Padel Clinic focuses on players who can rally consistently and are working to master wall rebounds—a signature element of padel strategy.

Location & Getting There
Located at 7900 SW 40th St in the heart of Tropical Park, just southwest of the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) and Bird Road intersection. The park's large parking lots provide easy access, and the facility is just west of South Miami.

What Players Say
Great spot for pickleball, with 4 "old" courts (including one challenge court), and 8 "new" courts (opened 2024). There are also tennis and padel courts.
Courts should be renovated. Such an old install, the lights at night are no good, new wind cutters would help.
