From the people who built the Lisbon Racket Center (later sold to Cristiano Ronaldo) and run the ATP 250 Millennium Estoril Open comes Austin's first premier indoor padel facility.

Austin Padel Center opened its temporary pop-up location in February 2026 at the former Wonderspaces building on Sheldon Cove in North Austin. Founded by Benno van Veggel and the van Veggel Family Office — whose global portfolio spans real estate, sports, and event ventures — APC brings world-class padel pedigree to the Texas capital. A permanent 22,000-square-foot flagship facility is under construction next door, expected to open Q3 2026.

The Courts

Austin Padel Center features 9 climate-controlled padel courts — 6 indoor and 3 outdoor — making it the only indoor padel facility in Austin. The temporary space has already drawn rave reviews for court quality and the overall atmosphere, described as having a "hotel lounge feel" with modern finishes and art installations.

Programs & Coaching

Coaching is led by Elias, a professional padel player and co-owner who personally teaches lessons. The club offers private lessons, group clinics, and open play. Players praise the coaching as excellent at all levels — from first-timers learning the basics to experienced players refining technique.

Austin Padel Center is the only indoor padel center in Austin! Get in on this growing sport in the US. It is already huge in Europe and South America and it's gaining popularity in Austin (following Miami). I took my first lesson with Elias who is professional padel player and one of the owners at APC. They are in a temporary space until permanent location is ready, just one building over. Elias was great at teaching me the sport and helping me with my form. APC is in a great location. Everyone there was friendly and excited to show me the sport.
