Alma Padel brings world-class padel to Chicago's North Shore, founded by Abigail McCulloch—the first solo female padel club founder in the United States. After discovering padel at Wharton Business School, McCulloch developed her business plan through Wharton's accelerator program and opened Alma Padel in April 2025.

The Courts

The facility features 4 competition-level Spanish padel courts with 30-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and industrial garage doors that can be opened for an indoor-outdoor experience. The Mediterranean-inspired design creates a bright, airy atmosphere that sets Alma apart from typical sports facilities.

Programs & Community

Alma Padel offers extensive programming for players of all levels, from Intro to Padel clinics to competitive leagues. The club emphasizes community building with weekly open play sessions, tournaments, and creative social events including Mahjong Mondays, Margarita Madness, Power Yoga, and Euchre Nights.
