A couple of months ago I felt severe pain on my right shoulder while playing padel..I continued and ignored that pain will go away but it didn't. It was when I was lifting my right hand or trying to touch my back with the hand, the pain occurs. Then it became difficult to lift heavy objects which I used to easily life before.
I went directly to the therapist that recommended the radiology test. My report came out and I checked with gemini and it says that
"your shoulder tendons and muscles are completely intact. Here is what the specific details mean:
The Good News (Tendons are Healthy): The report explicitly notes that the supraspinatus, subscapularis, infraspinatus, and teres minor (which make up your rotator cuff), as well as your bicipital (biceps) tendon, are all normal. There are no tears, no calcifications, and no abnormal masses or joint fluid collections (effusions).
The Main Finding (Bursitis): The report highlights a "Thickened subacromial bursa... suggesting subacromial subdeltoid bursitis." \* What is a bursa? It is a small, fluid-filled sac that acts as a friction-reducing cushion between your shoulder bones and tendons

Has anyone else had the same issue? How long will it take for the recovery?
Man I had this exact same injury, same cause (kept playing for too long while in pain. Recently recovered and playing again now but it was one hell of a road. It took me 7-8 months, did fysiotherapy, needling, shockwave, gym exercises. Felt like it took forever. Doubted a few times to get an injection to help the inflammation but I noticed progression so didnt.
7-8 months is probably longer than average but be prepared to stay aside for a couple of months.
Hope the best for you mate.
Glad you recovered but 7-8 months is a lot of time. But I hope it doesn't returns back for you. I am 43+ and I think my recovery period could be similar to yours but my insurance rejected shockwave stuff. From all the things you did for recovery, which was the most effective. I am applying rofenac patches and ointment and yes I don't want to apply injection as well..can you share the gym exercises, I really want to recover :(
Most important thing I learned from recovery is to keep working the shoulder, even if its really small steps. Don’t go further than 3-4 pain on a scale of 10 though. Exercises that helped me the most are Pendulum swing with small weight and Shoulder rotations (external and internal) with resistance band (not too heavy). Do these every other day and you will notice progression but be aware of pain signals. You can search for Rotator Cuff exercises on YT.
Also gym exercises like dumbell press, shoulder press etc but do ‘half’ reps dont put too much pressure on the rotator cuff.
In hindsight I would have taken an cortison injection if I knew it would take this long. Or maybe plasma replacement therapy.
Needling and shockwave helped but the exercises are most important in my opinion.
Can you get a steroid shot? If it works you'll feel better the next day and you can do gentle exercises which might help improve things. My experience with bursitis has been mixed. I have it in both hips and nothing really helped but I mostly got used to it. I did have it in shoulder (I'm four weeks post reverse replacement) but it was mostly due to arthritis. I did have steroid shots for the shoulder and it really helped but I had full thickness RC tear, labrum tear and bicep tears so the shots only helped the first two times.
