He's doing serve fault almost every time https://preview.redd.it/9kbiwbu8t22h1.png?width=878&format=png&auto=webp&s=20b87840ba46fedaa0ef3bfaf58c2a53ec516c01 1:32, you go back to do an overhead shot and stay back. You're making the effort to return that high ball but you lose the net. If you're hitting overhead (bandeja) is to maintain the net, if you either don't run back to the net you're creating problems for yourself. You have to try and hit that overhead putting your weight towards the ball and that will help you move forward right away. Also becaues you run backwards instead of sideward. If you cannot keep the net you're better off letting the ball bounce. Will also help your partner that, in this case, is left alone on the front and then has to fight with volleys to his body. Luckily for you guys, your opponent on the backhand side is also slow to move forward giving your partner a good chance to recover control. That point is mostly mistakes. 3:35, you do it again. You win the point because they are really bad. I stopped watching here. I see a 1.8-2 Playtomic for Spain.

Biggest quick win is stop slicing on lower balls from the back and start hitting flat, especially with defending shots. Imo thats the thing you can fix yourself the easiest. The best advice is just go and get a trainer, you look like a guy who can get way better with some tactical en technical lessons. You are Athletic, light footed and it seems you are kinda comfortabel, technique wise there is just a lot that needs polishing. Id say you are a playtomic 2,5/3 in the Netherlands so probably also in Belgium.

Can I ask what equipment you were using to record?

Go pro 11 and suction cup from GoPro. I put in wide 1080p.

Good: \- Pacing and placement on groundstrokes and volleys. Particularly ability to play soft. Bad: \- Should have non dominant hand supporting the racket, especially at the net where you should be ready to block. \- Standing on the service line when defending against volleys, take a step back to give yourself more time. \- Not moving in sync with partner to take/retake the net. \- No split step. Probably 2.5 in Barcelona, Spain. But you have a very strong base to work from.

I don't think there are any quick wins here. You're a decent player, clearly have athletic talent, don't play many stupid shots. Your limiter is your technique: volleys lack punch, your wrist is all over the place in overheads, you barely split step, double-glass rebounds cause you anxiety. These are things that are hard to change quickly and are best done over many months under a coach. You can certainly improve other parts of your game by yourself but rebuilding your strokes is what I would focus on if I were developing you.

Thank you! For the last year I tried using the vibora more so i find it hard to find 'the right amount of wrist' for the shot. I tend to 'to fix' a lot of shots with my wrist (which is not good), i'm trying to use my body more for the shots. As for the split steps its something im trying to work on but is really hard for me, any tips for that? For the double glass normally defending is the best part of my game but I tend to panic when shots are coming fast. Anyway great feedback i'll try to work on those 😄

No tips my man, you know what to do. You just need to get clean repetitions in. It's really hard to practice while focused on winning a game, so my one tip is to get to the court 20 minutes early and warm up with technique correction. You can split-step into shadow bandejas/volleys, or self-feed viboras with a static wrist. Choose one thing per week and get some good practice before every game. Then clear your mind and play to win.
