Does anyone struggle to play padel without pockets?

I don’t have a lot of sportswear that has pockets (usually play in leggings) so I often play padel without having anywhere to put spare balls. I end up having to put the balls on the side of the court or asking my partner to hold them and it’s really annoying. Does anyone else have this issue?! Any solutions?

Plenty of women I play with have no issue holding the balls on their shorts/skirts. Can't tell you what type of sportswear that is though.

That was also my initial thought too. Edit: you cN buy tennis ball waist clips which look like what pro tennis players use.

true, but in this case tennis clothes do have plenty of options with pockets. there are also ball holders/clips.

This is how I feel to the other players! Seconds lost because I have to run to the side to get a ball or wait for my partner to pass me one

Put the spare ball at the net? We often don’t put balls in our pockets after the first set because our shorts are too sweaty and wet the balls. (Super humid country it’s unavoidable)

There are ones that are flush against the leggings and some people cant tell it even has pockets! If the pocket can fit your phone, it will fit a padel ball! Give it a try the next time you wear the leggings. The fabric stretches well being yoga pants and all haha I got them at TJ Maxx/Marshalls. They always have them for cheap, like less than $25. The only issue i have with them is that depending on the fabric, they can get really warm wearing them so i have to pull up the bottom of the legs separated from my socks to give some airflow during the game 😁

When I used to play tennis, I have seen my friends put their spare ball on the small of their back at the waist band.

I hate playing with people who don't have pockets worse still when their partner doesn't feed them balls. Also, never ever play with balls on the side or back of the court. They can be rolled up tight to the net but anywhere else is a huge safety concern.

If op is female - I've partnered with plenty of females and they held the ball for my serve, or both for theirs. Tbh, didn't concentrate too much on what they were wearing. Prob leggings. Seemed to put them around their waistband.
