Amateur - which wrist for sports watch?

Hiya Just started being more active again and picked up padel. I'd like to use my Apple Watch and Strava. I don't really know much and was wondering: Does the watch go on your dominant wrist/swinging arm or the other one? And why? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I've never worn a watch for sports :)

Just make sure it doesn't beep obnoxiously every time you touch it and that you don't delay the game because you are fiddling with it.

Can the vibrations damage the watch if it’s worn on the racket hand ?

Bpm might be interesting to see intensity of the game and there is no difference which hand. But overall padel is great fun with group of people. Enjoy the game and be social.

on the same hand as your racket and open padelio!

I'd recommend putting it on your racket hand. I've hit my watch before with my racket and damaged the screen protector.

I wear on dominant and put on tennis mode so I know roughly how many times I smashed(it’s counted as tenis service) and forehand/backhand ratio. For heart rate I just wear chest strap. They are cheap and way more accurate than watches during sports.

I used an app called padelio which give you stats on which shots you have been using and how many, like how many smash, Bandeja, volley, backhand forehand… etc. it’s great and requires you to wear the watch on your dominant hand.
