is padel the easiest sport to get into in dubai right now? what are you recommendations?

Hey padel players from Dubai, I just moved with my girlfriend in dubai and we’re trying to pick up a sport to do regularly. padel seems super easy to get into, especially with group lessons around, tried one at [Padel Pro](https://padelpro.ae/) and it was pretty chill. is that why it’s blowing up so fast? where do you recommend to start playing? and maybe which is best to start with, indoors or outdoors?

Padel is honestly one of the easiest and most enjoyable sports to get into, especially for couples, because no matter your current level, you will always find plenty of people at the same stage to play and have fun with. As you naturally improve, the community around you will grow, and you'll find new groups to challenge you. It’s a very social sport where you'll quickly build a network of friends and find yourself spending time after matches just chatting and catching up with others, which makes it quite addictive. You and your girlfriend will definitely have a great time starting this journey together. Regarding the courts in Dubai, I think during April the weather is still decent enough that you won't notice a huge difference between indoor and outdoor play as a beginner. If you want to save some money, you can enjoy the outdoor courts while the weather permits, but if the budget isn't a concern, I personally find indoor courts more comfortable and they offer a better overall atmosphere. Just keep in mind that as you reach intermediate or high levels, outdoor factors like humidity and wind will start to affect your game significantly, but for now, just focus on having fun and enjoying the game

Padel outdoors in Dubai sounds crazy isnt it 40 degrees all the time there? Definitely indoors Regarding your question padel is extremely easy to start specially considering the alternatives like tennis and golf which are hard and then football and basketball which requires many players Group classes are super fun if you want to play with your partner, best would be to find another couple similar level, have friends who do that and they say its fun

It was 22-24 degrees tonight and is like that pretty much from November to late April. Even may is playable outside in the evening. June-mid October are a no go for outdoors.

Padel is not an easy sport. Pickelball is. Source: been playing tennis for 30 years.

Hey, welcome to the padel community. Padel is easy to pick up, maybe one of the easiest racket sports to strart. No need to be super fit, can enjoy rallies from the beginning. Beware though, there is a real risk of addiction :-). If you are in Dubai and you are looking for places where to play, check out this wensite (https://padellife.style/clubs/uae/) where you have a nicely currated list of clubs with images, description, and features like number of courts, indoor/outdoor, if they serve food, if they have a recovery area, etc.

It’s definitely one of Dubai’s biggest sports, after football, of course. Within a 15 km radius of my apartment, there are over 65 places to choose from, which is crazy. There’s a wide variety of courts too: from gentrified warehouses with cafés and exorbitant court fees, to more modest indoor and outdoor venues if you’d rather skip the barista and boutique finishes. I prefer the latter… it’s more budget-friendly.

My favourites: Redline padel (shaded outdoor/outdoor) Al quoz park (25aed!!) (outdoor) Grip sports (outdoor) Top padel Me’aisem (outdoor) Champs sports club (cheapest indoor) Club padel (most budget friendly boutique looking one (AC tent indoor/outdoor)

And of course make friends with people that have apartment complexes with free padel court hire. Or 4-5 star hotels like JA ocean front in marina have a pub next to the court if you fancy a beer after. Good price too

Welcome to Dubai! Padel is a great pick - easy to start, hard to put down. Go indoors to begin. Even in April the heat makes outdoor courts tough until you're comfortable moving around. JLT, Sports City, and Kite Beach all have solid beginner-friendly clubs. Book a group intro lesson first and just rent gear for now - don't overthink rackets yet. You'll be hooked within a few sessions.
