Is there a functional reason for wearing a cap visor backwards on an indoor court?

This. I have no hair and I sweat a lot. And it’s worse playing indoors. I have tried various things but wearing it backwards keep the sweat off my eyes.

Exactly this, and I also play with glasses, and feel like it keeps my glasses in place better.

Same. I tried playing with different headbands but in the end always go back to the backwards cap to keep the hair out of my eyes.

I assumed it's to prevent the sweat from the head to drip down and because it's not sunny, they can wear it backwards

This is exactly why. I wear it backwards and use contacts lens. Trust me, you do not want a drip of sweat going into your eye while using contacts

Absorb sweat. If you watch closely it’s not a normal hat. The material is very absorbent.
