Hello everyone, I would like some advice on padel balls that bounce a lot and maintain good consistency during a game. I’m playing on new courts with humid conditions and low altitude. Since the courts are new, the ball barely bounces — the surface absorbs a lot of the ball’s energy. It’s very difficult to hit balls 3 meters, 4 meters, and bring them back to our side, even when hitting close to the net with maximum power.
I’ve already tested different types of balls, such as Head Pro S, Head Pro S+, Wilson Premier Padel, Wilson Speed from Premier Padel, and Siux Neo. All of these, even when brand new — and even with a pressurizer (which I have) — do not bounce enough. On the second use, the bounce is similar to the first time we play with them, making it very difficult to execute smashes effectively (dont bounce enough even when i pressurize it above the normal padel pressure). It’s very hard to play off the back wall, make wall drop shots, and maintain a consistent game where there isn’t a point where the ball dies quickly on the glass.
Based on your experience, which balls would you recommend?
If the Wilson balls don't bounce enough, you likely won't find balls that do. They are some of the fastest balls there is, maybe you could try the Adidas RX as I've heard they could be a bit faster even but I think you just need to accept the fact that your courts are slow and adapt your game to that.
I've tried all the above and I'm sure Adidas RX Speed are the more "bouncy" ones. And they do it for more time than any other I've tried. Not my favorite, but for what op wants are the best.
Tell me something: do you manage to bring the ball back to your court in other courts? The balls are obviously a factor but humidity and low altitude play a bigger role. Without the right technique you won't manage regardless of the ball.
O tell you from experience as I leave at sea level with a 60/70% humidity across the year.
Bring it back is more or less easier but X3 is quite hard for most intermediate players.
Also. X4 should be easy regardless so if you find this one hard, I believe you're lacking technich more than anything.
But yeah. Keep looking for the right balls
Yes i can in another 3 diferent courts, im not a pro and most of the shots i cannot do a x3 but i know here the factor is the 70% the court. O know the feel when the ball touches the raquet and if goes out or not, but here the court dont let the ball jump. Its very dificult to do a Bajada because the ball doent jump more than 1,50m.
Kuikma S balls are some of the worst I've played with, and I've not just played 1 time. I bought a whole box of it, 24 cans. They're cheap, but they don't last a match without becoming extremely hairy.
Bizarre, I've had the complete opposite experience. Kuikma have been the most consistently quality balls I've bought in the last year. I prefer them to pretty much everything else right now, especially at the price.
Strange. Maybe you had a bad batch? I've only bought Kuikma for the past 6 months or so (except on rare occasions where Wilson's have been on sale). In my group we've tried pretty much everything (a group of about 15 players) and we're consistently finding Kuikma to be the best bang for our buck.
