Who knows the rules about serves between sets?

Team 1 serves the first point in Set 1. Now it is 6:4 and Team 2 served the last point. Which team serves first in Set 2 and why?

Team 1 start, as the last one who served was team 2 You keep same order of serving, doesn’t matter that it’s a new set

Yes there is. But at the start of the set, say it’s team 1 serve. Any player from team 1 can serve. Even if they served just before team 2 did. E.g at the start of each set, whichever team it is to serve, the players of that team get to choose who serves first.

It's always the same order, so Team 1 starts the second set.

What if it’s a tie break, does it go from the last ‘non tie break’ server ?

After the tie break ends, the next team to serve is the one that didn't start the serve in that tie break.

Same question, I thought not but various people have challenged me on it. My view was the breaker was part of the previous set.

What do you mean same order? As in you just keep cycling around the 4 players in same order? Or whoever served in set 1 first, serves first in set 2?

It just keeping cycling between the teams the whole match, doesn't mather which set. I say teams since the order of the players can change in the beginning on each set.

After the team order of service is established in the first game of the first set, it remains for the duration of the march. The only thing that can change is which *player* (not team) serves to start subsequent sets.

That simply means as a team you can choose which player serves first. But as others have said it will be the opposite team to the one that served the last game (or first in the tie break) in the previous set.

I'm fairly sure, as has been mentioned, this means that any person from the team who should serve, can start serving the first game of the set. If team 1 is A and B, they have to serve their games in set 1: A B A B A. But set 2 A can serve first again (e.g. A B A B A - A B A...), even though they served the previous game that their team served.

Team 1 serves first in set 2 as Team 2 were the last to serve. You always alternate. The exception (of sorts) is the tiebreak. The tiebreak counts as a service game for whoever served FIRST in the tiebreak (not last). So if Team 1 served first in a set and the set ends up in a tiebreak, Team 2 will serve first in the second set, as Team 1 served first in the tiebreak (counting as their service game).
