Obviously this is just an assumption, but it’s a bit weird that tapia and Coello rarely skip any tournaments but have decided to skip Egypt for the 4th time in a row this year.
It doesn’t really matter because i think points only count for 22 tournaments, but I know some of the organizers and it’s a shame for the tournament survival in the tour.
I think it’s because Coello lives in Miami maybe and it appears to them as the most skippable tournament in the year.
It's a P2, isn't it? Undoubtedly if the top pair had to choose a tournament to skip, it'd be a P2.
Unsure on whether they hate Egypt, but Tapia has said he dislikes outdoor venues. Isn't the tournament also outdoors? There you have your answer
Don’t know why they didn’t attend the tournament the first time but from now on it just makes sense for them to keep doing it cause since they didn’t participate last year they don’t win or lose any points if they keep skipping it, plus they get to rest before the last sprint of the season which so far has worked for them 🤷♂️
