Review: Unprofessional Experience with Manor Padel Academy (Bali)

**TL;DR:** Avoid booking with Manor Padel Academy. They confirmed my dates (April 6–10), and I booked flights and hotels, only to change the venue weeks later with no clear resolution. Their website has been "under maintenance" for a month, they are largely uncontactable, and they refuse to provide an invoice or a straight answer. I am sharing this to warn others about the unprofessionalism and lack of accountability at **Manor Padel Academy** in Bali. After they formally confirmed my booking, I committed to my travel arrangements from Singapore. Since then, the communication has been evasive, and the academy has failed to honor the original agreement. To provide full transparency, here is the timeline of my interaction with them (screenshots of the chat conversation are attached for verification): * **Feb 23:** I inquired about specific dates; they shared the available dates and the original location. * **Feb 24:** They **formally confirmed** the dates of April 6–10 and my slot for the booking. I double checked if I can book my flights and they said it's confirmed. They then requested a video of my play for assessment, which I provided immediately. * **Feb 26:** I requested an invoice to make the payment. They told me it would be issued "soon." * **March 2:** Followed up again regarding the invoice. I was told to wait and that it was coming. * **March 12:** After another follow-up, they suddenly claimed there were "challenges" and that the venue would be moved to a different location. * **Past Week:** Despite explaining that my flights and hotels were already booked based on their Feb 24th confirmation, I have received no clear response. I have repeatedly asked to speak with someone in charge, only to be told they are "looking into it" with zero updates. # Current Status * **Lack of Communication:** They have become effectively uncontactable regarding a resolution. * **Website Issues:** Their website has been "under maintenance" for over a month, which is a significant red flag for a business taking international bookings. * **Financial Risk:** By confirming the dates and then stalling on the invoice/location, they have put my travel investment at risk. **Verdict:** I would strongly advise against dealing with Manor Padel Academy. Their lack of transparency and disregard for their customers' travel commitments is highly unprofessional. Here is the website (under construction) and their instagram page [https://www.manorpadel.com/](https://www.manorpadel.com/) [https://www.instagram.com/manorpadel/](https://www.instagram.com/manorpadel/)

Oof this sounds frustrating! I would recommend planning a trip with a club directly in the future (Manor Padel doesn't actually have a home club). If you're in Ubud, I would highly recommend TAO or Mahima! Mahima is actually one of the global hosts for The Padel Retreat as well and both clubs have great coaches.

That sucks. Now you can just enjoy Bali or look into a different padel academy there?

Yea, arranging a different private coach

Is there no padel scene in singapore?

It's popular here, and I play regularly, but really expensive. Bali has a bunch of courts, really good amenities and coaches and they cost 1/3 of what I would in Singapore

If what you wrote in your timeline is correct, then it's your mistake. Just because they confirmed availability those dates, doesn't mean that you have a confirmed booking. You didn't even pay. You jumped the gun and went ahead booking accommodation and flights for an "event" that you didn't received confirmation for.

If you read my post, they confirmed my booking and said to go ahead with the booking of my flights and hotels. They were supposed to send the invoice and kept on delaying it after confirming my slot

Sorry mate, by going to Bali to play padel it's like going in Australia to learn ski.

There are good coaches and courts, and the price is a fraction of what I would pay in Singapore. I have played there a few times and I would still recommend it (if you haven't been there)
