Interested in hearing what it's like In other parts of the world but in my part of the UK it's not really a thing at all.
I have one venue near me where, if you get on the right three courts, you can pay a small amount to rewatch your game. Other than that I don't really know of anywhere that does it.
I know a lot of people are bringing their own equipment and recording their own games. I don't understand though why a venue wouldn't try to monetize this kind of thing, once they're popular and established?
The one near me uploads it to a website I think that's probably the easiest way to distribute.
Same. Although I find it gets confused if we swap ends and only records first set? Does anybody know how to reconfigure. All highlights see to come from first set only too. Any tips for making it more effective?
Here in Germany we have a highlight button you just hit it after a nice moment and you scan the QR-Code after the game to download your clips.
It’s free and the videos get deleted 3 hours after getting shot.
I’m in South Africa, we have Push It for free at 80% of the courts in Cape Town. There’s cameras and button attached to the outside of the court frame that loads the last 30 seconds to an app when you press it.
In the US. Our club offers recording but it's expensive for no reason, something like $10 for the session. We tried it once and the software was horrible in clipping out the dead space.
At Stratford padel club all courts have cameras and matches can be streamed live and recorded for later viewing. Costs a few quid to download the recording I think, but can watch for free on the streaming site.
If you're playing very regularly I can see that. I'm more around the 1-2 times a week kind of player and there's definitely a number of games I'm not interested in seeing the recording of!
I think the fact that the courts are already approaching 20 pounds per hour per person in uk, the cost of the recording should be minimal (if anything)
Meh I pay £4 to get my replay, and the camera is perfectly positioned high above and behind the court. Sure if I do it 30 times I could get a camera and save money. But easier and better quality to just pay £4 a go.
