Blocking on Playtomic
If I block someone on Playtomic can the still join games with me? If I create the open match?
I’ve played with someone tonight that I found incredibly rude (unsolicited advice mostly). She joined my friendly, I’m a 0.5 with 15 games, she’s a 1.54 with 70+. I just think if you join a friendly with a beginner then you should expect them to play like a beginner.
But if I block her and play other open games is there a chance she will join them even if I create it?
FYI I have had other players give me advice but they’ve been friendly with it and have said “can I give you some tips?”. She was very rude with her delivery and as I said unsolicited.

Create a private match and invite other players , you could also post the game in a whatsapp group. I think you can kick her out of a private match. You could just cancel and rebook the game, if you you are the creator ( depends on the cancelation fees ).
But i would suppose, she would not join your games anymore, because now the level difference is known.

I think the problem (if it came up again) was she was friends with the couple was playing against. Originally my friend was playing with me and then had to pull out leaving the space open.

I had someone block me because I was at a lower level but they lost to me. 1.3 vs 2.3. Pretty petty of them but your situation is valid

There are players who I dont want to play against. If they join, i’ll pull out quietly.
Blocking only precents social interaction.

I have blocked some on Playtomic for similar reasons, and I can still see when they have joined a match. When I click on their profile, it shows that I have blocked them so I do not join these matches with them.
I guess the experience is similar from their side. They still see the open matches I join, and can see that some players have blocked them (I used to see "Anonymous" for those that blocked me and was not able to see their profile), and can still join them if they like confrontation by someone who blocked them.
