Who is currently the better player?

Hey guys, I’ve had this discussion with a friend of mine which who is better currently Paquito or Coki? Imo Paquito is still better even though Coki is getting closer, I still see Paco achieving better numbers in terms semis and finals than Coki. My friend disagrees, so I’d like to hear your opinions and reasoning.

Unpopular opinion maybe but Coki is the 3rd best left side player currently, not Augsburger or Stupa.

I like Coki, but I feel Sanyo expressed it better recently in the Veintediez podcast. He said something along the lines of "Coki will always deliver a 7 or 8/10. Never a 10/10 and rarely a 5/10". I feel like that's his value. He's incredibly consistent (and a hell of a player) but I don't see him over Stupa.

I agree with you. Paquito, with his experience, can still be dangerous for so many players. But coki doesn’t seem to play his side dangerous or „special“ enough to make a difference.

I just feel like he need a really aggressive lefty beside to balance things out. He’s very right side player coded it’s coding him in the left

I mean that’s Sans - super aggressive lefty. May be an unpopular opinion but if Sans could learn a bit more consistency and stop trying to smash as often, I would love to see him with Galan.

Coki for me. I find it hard to see either winning more than 1 match against the big 2 teams over the season and Coki's consistency in reach semis is there to see across multiple partners. I think that consistency is also there in his play style too: although he has a horrible record against the top pairs (Galan especially) he often causes them serious problems such as this week

I can tell you who the better racket-thrower is 😆

Coki, and last results back him up. He has been reaching semi-finals consistently this past year. I agree he doesn't look special, but the same goes for Ariana Sánchez, and she has been world number 1 for so long. Same with Bela.

Coki is the only player that looks like an investment banker when given a suit.

Currently Coki, paquito is way past his prime he is 36 years old.

I think Coki, he's stronger mentally and although not your traditional offensive left sided player as Pacquito, he's still very effective paired with an aggressive right sided player like Sanz or previously like Yanguas.

Jon Sanz chose Coki over Paquito for a reason

Paquito probably still has a higher ceiling - but not by much - while Coki has a much higher floor level. And then if you figure in their quality as a team mate... So Coki for me.
