Some of you might remember the original post. [We built TrustPadel.com - UK's most detailed Padel directory](https://www.reddit.com/r/padel/comments/1lvcsz1/we_built_trustpadelcom_uks_most_detailed_padel/)
>309 clubs. Mostly England. A bloke typing horizontally with a herniated back. He built it because he was tired of calling clubs to ask if they had sessions for kids with additional needs β and getting awkward silence every time.
You didn't just upvote it. You sent DMs. You flagged missing clubs. You told us what actually mattered when choosing a court. A few of you offered to help verify venues. This community treated TrustPadel like it was **yours** to improve.
Since that post, I had spinal surgery at the end of January. Nerve damage bad enough that recovery could take two years. I've been mostly bed-bound for nearly a year β but tomorrow, for the first time in what feels like an eternity, I'm taking my daughter out for her birthday. Wheelchair and all. I cannot wait.
I was also diagnosed as AuDHD this year β *which, honestly, explains a lot about why I built a padel directory with ferret-tracking capabilities.*
It's been a dark stretch. But having something to build β something that tens of thousands of people now actually use to find where to play β has been an anchor through all of it. The feedback and support from this community has meant more than I can really say.
So before anything else: **thank you.** Genuinely.
Anyway, now onto the fun things: **TrustPadel 2.0 is live!**
[New TrustPadel homepage!](https://preview.redd.it/rl3a68afb9og1.png?width=3430&format=png&auto=webp&s=93020171a47a69ff3edcc346bd3e3ccbad914ec4)
**The numbers first:**
* 309 clubs β **1,009 clubs**
* 1,019 courts β **3,533 courts**
* 1 country β **11 countries**
Still not scraped. Still manual research β clubs called, details verified, the weird stuff tracked. If a club has cold plunge baths, EV chargers, or (yes, still) ferrets on site, it's in there because we put it in there.
And we're not stopping at 1,009. We're currently processing and manually checking nearly 10,000 new clubs from around the globe. When that lands, TrustPadel becomes the go-to for planning courts wherever you travel β not just at home.
**What's new:**
**Search rebuilt from the ground up** Running on Typesense β the same infrastructure Spotify and Airbnb use. Results in under 15ms. Not "fast for a directory" fast. Just fast. Updates as you type, no button press, no waiting.
**20+ filters. Instant. Stackable.** Court type, coaching, accessibility features, amenities, pricing, opening hours β all live, all simultaneous. The granular detail from v1 is still there. We've just made it dramatically easier to actually use.
**Quick-view modals** Evaluate a club without leaving search. Click, get everything β courts, amenities, hours, location. Swipe or keyboard-navigate to compare your shortlist without losing your place.
**"Near Me" with real open/closed status** Based on actual operating hours, not just a location ping. Open now means open now.
**Interactive map with clustering** 1,009 clubs across 11 countries needs proper clustering to stay usable. It does. Works on mobile without destroying your battery.
**Mobile-first throughout** 70%+ of padel searches happen on phones. We built every interaction around that reality, not as a retrofit.
**Now available in 10 languages** English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Afrikaans, Arabic, Hindi, and Chinese. Padel is a global sport β TrustPadel should be too.
**Full club self-management** This one was genuinely hard to build properly. Club owners can now sign up and manage their own listings directly β hours, courts, amenities, all of it. Merchants and industries coming soon.
**Working towards full WCAG 2.2 accessibility compliance** The original mission β making it easier for parents of kids with additional needs, players with mobility requirements, anyone who's ever had to make ten phone calls just to answer a basic question β hasn't shifted an inch. Accessibility isn't a feature tick for us. It's the reason this exists.
**Why it's different**
Every competitor in this space is a static list with a Google Maps embed. A name. An address. Maybe a phone number.
We built proper search infrastructure, real manually-researched data, and a UX that respects your time. No ads. No bloat. No premium tier hiding the useful stuff.
Still bootstrapped. Still a tiny team β I'm still the only tech person. No big sponsors, no investors, no one monetising your attention. Just people building something for the love of the game.
**Completely free. No login. No subscription. No catch.**

**What we need from you**
Same ask as last time β because it worked.
* Is your local club missing?
* Is anything listed wrong β hours, court count, permanently closed?
* Is there a filter you wish existed?
* Did something feel broken or slow or confusing?
* Any feature you think could benefit padel as a whole?
That's how v2 became v2. Drop it in the comments, DM me, find me anywhere β v3 gets built around what this community actually needs.
*Tomorrow* I'm taking my daughter out for the first time in nearly a year.
**Tonight** I'm reading every comment. π
Bro when will people stop posting these AI slop texts π
As soon as I see "it didn't just X. it Y." and shit like that I just stop because if someone didn't bother writing it then why should I bother reading?
I mean it's not AI slop, I wrote it out, albeit badly (since I'm not good at writing), and then asked AI to help me make it clearer.
Using AI for accessibility or helping you with things you struggle with is the core reason for using AI, is it not?
If there's parts you don't like, then explain it for me and I'll change it π
I'll pick a "bad" human text that carries character and personality over a "perfect" (actually not, it's always very formulaic, full of cliche and corny drama) AI text 100 times out of 100.
Sorry for venting this at you but it has become a very frustrating topic for me and my friends. I'm not enjoying this era of internet at all.
Thereβs a padel club near me missing- Padel Squared - 3 indoor courts in Warwick, England. Really nice setup.

Great work.
Also, does your website list parking status and changing rooms/showers? May have missed it!
Ooh I'll definitely flag that one to be checked! Thank you. And we do have some internal parking data that we're expanding on (such as number of parking spots, dedicated vs road parking, wheel chair friendly car park etc) it's just taking slightly longer to roll out due to the data not being easily accessible!
Showers etc are already tracked under the club amenities, but if it isn't clear let me know and we can look at improving it π
This is great. I help investors analyse the local padel environment and I can definitely see this being a super useful tool, both for businesses and players.
Would love to see emerging markets like France in it. Happy to chat if useful! Congrats!
Need to add a ton more clubs from Birmingham UK, most are on playtomic! Core Padel, Padel Inn, Padel House, Te Amo Padel, Connect Padel (padelmates), and a few more
Dude, the dedication in your project is insane. Moving from 309 to 1,009 clubs with a wheelchair, that's next level. Oh, and the manual research bit? Mad respect. Makes me think of how we use Scrappey for web scraping but obviously in a different setting lol. The whole hands-on approach gives TrustPadel a more personal touch. Excited to see more!
Thank you for your kind words! π It's honestly eaten all my free time, but it's nice to see people see value in it.
I built scrapers to test getting data, but it's so fragmented and we pulled different data for the same locations on different sites etc so it was really a mess.
We're planning on opening up our API and MCP servers soon so other sites can use our data! Hopefully that will help us become a source of truth in the industry.
