The short answer is no.
I got these shoes as a gift on New Year’s 2024, and since then I’ve only used them at the gym. About 3 months ago, a friend invited me to play padel, and I immediately fell in love with the game. I bought a racket, but not proper shoes, so I kept playing in my Cloudnovas.
After just 3 months, the sole has become really worn out:
1. It started falling apart.
2. It became very slippery on the court.
The one thing I do like about these shoes for padel is that they hold my lower ankle very tightly, so my foot doesn’t move around inside the shoe.
What shoes you can recommend?

That shoe is not made for court play, so the fact that it doesn’t hold up for more than a few months is not surprising. Wrong equipment at wrong place.
Folks, I've end up buying THE ROGER Pro 2 Clay. It was disconted from 220$ to 150$ so It's a good deal overall.
u/elmemillo thank you for initial advice.
If you would like to keep in ON family, I have been using ON tennis shoes for padel and have found them to hold pretty good, I would rank them as follows:
1. Roger Pro Fire (Clay)
2. Roger Pro 2 (Clay)
3. Roger ADV 75
4. Roger clubhouse pro
You can get all of these at a discount if you look at their last season section in their website
Thanks man, yeah I'd like to stay with on family, but with a more purpose oriented shoes. I've also tried to play with turf soccer shoes, but that was even worse, lol
You're welcome! It looks like you're looking for more ankle support, I would recommend either Roger Pro Fire or Roger Pro 2 as these have those ankle support systems that runners wear. the ADV 75 also has them but I found the laces to be shorter so really difficult to adjust properly
I have been using clay version since they were released, and they are my favorite On shoe for padel (have tried 4 different models). They feel very secure but have a big toe box so they don't feel as tight. Pretty lightweight for me as well
Cloudnova is clearly NOT a shoe for padel.
Not at all.
You need to buy or something with a dedicated sole for padel (like Adidas, Mizuno or Babolat) or a tennis shoes made for clay.
ON it's not so good for padel, for the everyday use yes (I barely use only their models), but for tennis and padel are meh.
Even Coello use a custom model that it's not yet on the market.
On, in general is not worth the price. It says"I am rich." that is followed by an internal laugh that says "Wasted 200 on a shoe that doesn't hold more than 6 months."
Bullpadel, Asics and Wilson are experts on the padel court. You can't go wrong with them.
