From what I have seen. people don’t like to use apps .
Most people prefer WhatsApp. You can’t get serious players to sign to matches. You only find beginners and people that aren’t good
People that play good already have their closed groups. They let outsiders in by referral.
I had trouble finding good matches. My club was the problem, the owner only cared about making money and nothing else.
I found another club that was smaller but farther away, the community was great, the coach there arranged me matches with people of similar skill, sometimes i paid the fee of my partner , if he was well known and good, other players want to join our matches. I paid for the after match beers.
When you start you are bottom tier, you need to get better or network with better players
After I got to a decent level . Now people called me instead of me searching for players. and I became part of the inner circle. Every month we do big matches with others clubs. So my padel contact list got bigger and bigger.
Don't you think there'd be a way to transfer this selective picking of players who are "worthy" into an app?
I don’t think so. People likes human connection. Is the reason we play padel. Is not easy to trust an app. You wont consistent results. I rather find people in WhatsApp group.
in the big cities an app will work. Too many players to track off. Of all levels . You can open a match and will be filled fast. They already have platomic.
