How long do your shoes last?

I feel like mine only last like 6 months and then the wear is really visible. Is this normal?

Mine are fine after 100 games but I don’t walk to the court in them, I put them on right before playing and take them off after. They only cost like €55 too.

After 4-6 months the shock absorption is gone for me. But i think this depends on frequency, how much you move and your weight. I play often, move a lot and am pretty heavy. Good shoes are a must. Else things start to hurt.

I feel like this is normal, especially if you play quite often. I replace them every \~6ish months as well and i play 3-4 times a week. The ones i use are the ASICS Gel-Challenger Padel.

Yeah, I have the ASICS Gel-Resolution X and play 3-4 times a week too. Also having braces on both ankles doesn’t help for the wear on the heels of the shoe 😬

My ASICS last like four months 😞 Gonna try another brand and see if there’s a difference

Depends how much you play, but probably normal. Running shoes generally last 3-6 months, for comparison.

People replace rackets more often than shoes :D while the shoes would be more likely beneficial piece to be replaced more often.

You guys are probably throwing away money replacing shoes that often. I put mine on before the match and take them off after and they look

I'm on month 15 of mine and I thought to expect 12-18 months. I just bought some gel inserts for added support and it def will extend the life of these another few months. I think 6 mo seems a little short but depends how often you play and in what conditions. I play 2x a week, outside but covered in warm and often humid conditions.

Babolat SFX evo AC lasted under 2 months with ~7 hours of weekly play. Inner of the shoe developed a hole. Currently on Babolat SFX 4. I'm now using tennis socks, lets see if these will last longer... :D

Playing 3-5 times a week I rotate between 4 different pairs so that the feet do not get too much the same experience and wear. The brand perfect for me is Bullpadel in the models Vertex, Hack and Ionic. Always have size 44,5 while normal shoesize is 43.

It's not 1989 where stuff was made to last.

I'm extremely heavy footed in life and basically in padel too but I've got a year out of my adis. Key is not wearing them to and from the court

I got over 100 games out of my Asics Gel Challengers. The soles are still good and I've replaced the insoles once, but the uppers have a few cracks in them now.

Which model you have? I've seen the 14s and 15s seem to be fully covered with Silicone/gel, so I'm wondering how's the breathability and if some with a mesh front/top would be better.

14s. I didn't really notice breathability issues, but they were also my first dedicated padel shoes so it's a very small sample size.

Haibo How?! Mine wear out near the balls of my feet within 3-4 months
1
u/ZASafferZA6w ago
Well clearly my partner does all the running. Seriously though, the soles have barely worn down at all on the padel specific shoes. I used their squash shoes previously and killed them within a few months.

Chuckling at the "haibo"

Approx 6 months or so. Then physical damage starts happening, shoes no longer feel like they have any cushioning left in them. Then it’s Christmas time and I buy two pairs with year end discounts again.

Hey - would anyone who has worn out their Padel shoes mind doing a before and after shot. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever worn out the tread on footwear so would be interested to see just what you’ve done to them
