I'm a level 4-5 player, and I always try my best when I play, but last night I didn't sleep a wink.
Almost all my shots went into the net or the glass, and we lost 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1 against players I usually play with.
I felt so ashamed that I paid for everyone's game.
Has that ever happened to you? Is it normal to pay if you are the worst player ?
Yeah btw. This is correct. Just cause you lost badly and had an off day on the court doesn’t mean u pay for everyone. Everyone needs to calm down about Padel and not take it sooo seriously 😅

That’s not a good way to think about it. Everyone has off days, as many have said, and I would’ve opposed such an offer quite vehemently.
I don’t want anyone leaving a game with me thinking their bad day was somehow that serious of an offense, and I kind of expect people to give me a break when I perform badly

Obviously, this shouldn't be the norm but surely we have all played a match where a lack of form or ability if one player means the other 3 don'tget a proper match?
What? Of course not. If i forgot the game entirely i would pay for the people who wasted their time turning up, but absolutely not if i just played shit. How good are these mates that they let you do that...
Not because of a bad game, but if I were sick or otherwise seriously impaired and decided to still go play, I might. I do think it's disrespectful to keep a game when you're in no condition to play. Which I'm not saying is what happened here but that's the one circumstance.
Totally unnecessary. Happens to everyone at some point. If these guys know you then they know you weren’t your usual self — so no reason to feel bad about it.
If you feel compelled to compensate them, then buying the beers usually suffices. Next time consider canceling if you don’t sleep. I have intermittent sleep issues and it’s definitely not worth playing on no sleep.
