They’re not clay shoes though, (I think)

They have Herringbone style and that is perfect for the carpet used in padel. Unless they not there anymore because been old you have an almost perfect sole for padel. If you look to the current padel shoes you not going to find that much difference

Too much clay grip can be a problem imo. If they comfy and you don’t slip they’ll be fine

Absolutely. There’s too much fuss about padel shoes, while in fact, any tennis shoes work for padel. I do prefer clay court shoes for more grip, but thats about it

Thing is, I’ve noticed asics have different grips, babalot was totally different and it got me thinking that perhaps my tennis shoes that look really cool might still come in handy
