Padel in London (Coming from USA)

Hey everyone, I'll be visiting London in a month from the USA and I'm looking to play some matches. My NPRP is 4.8 and was verified by coaches from Spain. How do I go about finding high-level matches in London? Do I need to find matches via Playtomic/another platform? Not sure how padel works overseas, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In my experience, Stratford has the best pool of players and consistent quality of games and is well run. (You must ask for a rating there first and they have their own app). Probably the most basic in terms of facilities- but with its own charm. Other clubs use Playtomic or padelmates apps - open games are very variable in quality but are a way to easily try places. Each club tends to run individual WhatsApp groups and regulars might book a private match via an app and post in those groups to fill games. Several clubs have attractive court setups. Rocks Lane is another well organized club with events etc but player ratings can be a bit inconsistent (inflated). New club racketeer looks really nice and like it will be well run.

If you want to find open matches Playskan.com is really good. It aggregates all available courts and open matches on all platforms (like Playtomic, Padel mates, Matchi etc) in London in one place. It’s like skyskanner /expedia.

This is neat. However, not being able to filter my rating and/or number of spots left reduces its effectiveness

I think you can under the filter button 😊 - I don’t think they had that option before but I just checked and they do now

Yeah Playtomic or Matchi seem to be the most popular choices for finding games at your level. It depends where you want to play though and where abouts in London you are. Yep I think Playtomic is a good way to go. Just look at players your level with a high reliability and a decent number of matches played (all info on Playtomic).

There's some on playtomic and there's some on padel mates. If you had a specific area of London in mind I'm sure me or someone who actually lives in London could give you an idea which would work best
